Our Purpose
At EVA Inc., our core purpose is to:
- Be a voice for Emerald, representing local individuals and groups on matters of public interest
- Liaise with Cardinia Shire Council and other stakeholders to advocate for positive outcomes
- Identify and build on the unique strengths of the Emerald community
- Provide a conduit for community feedback to Council and other authorities
- Maintain a network of local groups to foster cooperation and shared goals
- Develop an annual business plan to guide and prioritise community efforts
- Promote projects that enhance sustainability, wellbeing, and connectedness in Emerald

Our Achievements
We’re proud of the positive difference we’re making, including:
- The Pen Pal Project — connecting over 150 participants across the region
- Active involvement in the Cardinia Shire climate response, submitting a formal adaptation strategy
- Hosting town inspections to improve local infrastructure and safety
- Publishing the Emerald News monthly — a trusted source of updates, stories, and community events
- Running the Citizen & Community Group Awards to celebrate outstanding local contributions
- Ongoing consultation and partnership with the Cardinia Shire Council and Ward Councillors
